Alan Shearer responds when asked if Liverpool FC will sell Mohamed Salah

Alan Shearer has hinted that Liverpool FC will manage to keep Mohamed Salah at Anfield next season.

The Egypt international has been a sensation in the 2017-18 Premier League season following his £39m move to Liverpool FC from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Salah’s move was met with some skepticism following a disappointing eight-month stint at Chelsea FC in 2014 before he moved to Serie A club Fiorentina before a switch to Italian giants AS Roma.

The African forward has scored 30 times in 32 games in the Premier League in the 2017-18 season following Salah’s goal in a 3-0 win against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Salah has also netted nine times in 11 games in the Champions League this season to help Liverpool FC reach the last four.

Former Newcastle striker Shearer believes Salah will remain at Liverpool FC beyond the 2018 summer transfer window.

“It will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp can hang on to Salah because the big boys will certainly be circling in the summer,” Shearer told The Sun.

“They could not manage to hang on to Philippe Coutinho as soon as Barcelona came calling. But I am sure Salah will love playing in such an attacking team and it certainly helps that he was a Liverpool fan as a kid.”

Salah is battling it out with Manchester City trio Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane to win the PFA player of the year award.

Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and a point behind second-placed Manchester United.

The Reds signed Virgil van Dijk in a club record deal from Southampton last summer.
