Football world rages as Suarez somehow left out of ‘FIFA Player Award’ top three

Luis Suarez is demonised by FIFA.

This much is blatantly obvious. His past is murky (while being brilliant at the same time), but his present is perfect.

He’s a mindbogglingly effective footballer who’s torn up trees for Barcelona for the entirety of 2016, yet FIFA have announced their three-man shortlist for the Player of the Year award includes Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.

The Frenchman is a wonderful player and enjoyed a terrific Euros, but he’s not yet in our former striker’s league.

Look at these stats we posted on Twitter yesterday, which are nearing 3,000 retweets, displaying how Suarez has simply outperformed Griezmann in every aspect this calendar year.

There’s a real argument to suggest Suarez is the best player in the world right now; especially ahead of stat padder Cristiano Ronaldo – who’ll somehow win this ahead of the phenomenon that is Messi.

FIFA.. What can you do?
