Jürgen Klopp continues to be one of the most marketable managers in world of football after New Balance announced that the Liverpool boss was its new brand ambassador.
The agreement will see the German lend his image for promotional use within the US sports brand’s upcoming marketing campaigns.
Klopp is already regularly seen wearing New Balance products during Premier League broadcasts given Liverpool’s £28m a year kit deal with the brand believed to be worth around £300m.
Announcing the deal Klopp said: “I am excited to now be part of the New Balance team. I’ve got to know the brand very well since moving to Liverpool. New Balance shares my enthusiasm for football, always working hard to improve our position in the game and reach our goals. I’m excited for what the future will bring.”
Richard Wright, general manager of New Balance, added: “Jürgen Klopp is one of the best managers in the world and we are delighted to announce him as a signing for New Balance Football. He brings a personality and an exciting style of football to anywhere he goes.”
The 49 year-old latest deal sees him add to a growing sponsorship portfolio which includes German beer Warsteiner, car manufacturers Opel, electronics giants Philips and TV network Sky Deutschland.
