Klopp Makes Top Five Shortlist For Best Managers

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made the top five shortlist for the best managers in world football.

The list of best managers was compiled by popular media outlet FourFourTwo.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05 manager was named the fifth best in world football behind Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, French football legend and ex-Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Juventus manager Maximiliano Allegri.

Liverpool have witnessed remarkable progress since the German tactician became the Reds manager in 2015.

He famously led the Merseysiders to the 2016 Europa League final before Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla came from behind to beat his team 3-1 to win a third successive title.

Ex-Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro cancelled out the first half goal from Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge after halftime before Coke scored a brace to give his side the victory.

Klopp also led the Reds to last season’s Champions League final before Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid who won a third successive Champions League title under former boss Zidane.

In addition, Klopp has been able to secure Champions League football for Liverpool in all of his full seasons at the club.

He has masterminded the Reds’ unbeaten run at the start of this season.
