Liverpool have been drawn to face Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Reds know all about the Portuguese champions having knocked them out at the last 16 stage last February.
With Porto the outsiders for European glory, it’s a favourable draw for Jurgen Klopp‘s side as they avoided the big-hitters.
Liverpool will have home advantage for the first leg at Anfield on April 9 with the return leg at the Estadio do Dragao on April 17.
The Reds’ reward if they progress will be a mouthwatering semi-final against either Barcelona or Manchester United. That raises the prospect of a reunion with former Reds duo Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.
Liverpool would be away in the first leg of the semi-final with the second leg to take place at Anfield.
Sergio Conceicao’s Porto side are currently second in the Portuguese Super League, behind leaders Benfica on goal difference.
Liverpool thrashed them 5-0 away last February when Sadio Mane helped himself to a hat-trick. The return game at Anfield was a non-event with Porto simply keen to avoid another thrashing and it finished goalless.
