Liverpool FC signing reveals where Jurgen Klopp wants him to play

The Brazil international completed a £39m move to Liverpool FC from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the summer transfer window.

Fabinho will be tasked with improving the Liverpool FC midfield following Emre Can’s switch to Serie A giants Juventus.

The 24-year-old was used as a full-back and a defensive midfielder during his stint at Monaco to highlight his versatility.

Klopp will be hoping that Fabinho can help to improve Liverpool FC’s defensive record after the Reds conceded 38 times in 38 games in the Premier League last term.

The new Liverpool FC signing shed light on his initial conversation with Klopp following his move to the Anfield outfit.

“I’ve been following the club closely in the last few years and they’ve improved greatly under Jurgen Klopp,” Fabinho is quoted as saying by Liverpool Echo.

“He’s said I might play in a few different positions but the plan is to use me in midfield and I’m available to play wherever he needs me. He left the best possible impression.

“”He told me the calendar is demanding in England and that he needs players like me. It was a huge honour to hear such a compliment and that’s what I wanted for my career – a move to a big club that knew they could count on me.”

Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second spot in 2002, 2009 and 2014.

The Reds ended up in fourth place in the Premier League table to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.

Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev after goals from Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.

The Merseyside outfit have added Fabinho and Naby Keita to their squad this summer.
