Liverpool legend Ian Rush backed Jurgen Klopp’s team to finish season on top of the Premier League table
“At the moment we are playing better than anyone,” Rush said (via ESPN FC).
“We always look like we are going to score, and that’s exciting. I think to come around Christmas, if they are still in the same position then, yeah, probably [we can talk about winning the league].”
Rush is believed that German managers energy can help guide the club to the success.
“I’ve been very impressed … he’s been fantastic, he’s got the players playing well,” Rush said.
“I think all we are looking at is to try and keep it tight at the back, now that we are scoring goals … he knows what the problem is, and he’s addressing that at the moment.”
In this moment, Merseyside Reds are in their best form in quite some time. Since an August 20th loss to Burnley, they are undefeated in all competitions and sit on the third place of the premier League table with the same points as League leaders Manchester City.
