Mohamed Salah’s ‘other side’ impresses Liverpool great Kenny Dalglish

Despite enjoying a goal-laden debut season at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah’s desire to help ‘on the other side’ has left Kenny Dalglish impressed.

The Reds great is delighted with the unprecedented success of the attacker whose 39 goals so far have come in only 44 games.

However, his defensive contributions and teamwork, in spite of his prolific run in the final third, has left Dalglish most impressed.

SALAH PS

“He has been fantastic. He must have outlived his own expectations I would have thought, and certainly you would have thought Jürgen could not have anticipated 39 goals so far,” Dalglish told club website.

“He’s still really humble and despite the fact he’s scored that many goals, he’s still going out and trying to do his bit – and he does his bit on the other side of it when he doesn’t have the ball. It’s fantastic.

“It’s been a brilliant bit of business and it’s great to see him saying how happy he is to be here.”

Salah will be hoping to continue in his awe-inspiring streak as he aims for the 40-goal mark when Bournemouth visit Anfield to take on his third-placed side in Saturday’s English Premier League encounter.
