Salah reach another landmark in Egypt defeat

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah reached another landmark in Egypt’s World Cup defeat to Saudi Arabia yesterday.

Salah made history as he scored his 50th goal for club and country this season to give Egypt the lead in the dead rubber clash.

But the 26-year-old was in no mood to celebrate with his team-mates.

Reports emerged over the weekend that Salah could quit international football after being used in Chechen politics.

He was made an honorary citizen by the southern Russian state’s warlord Ramzan Kadyrov.

It is understood that the striker believes the Egyptian FA have allowed him to become a political pawn.
