Steven Gerrard to leave Liverpool for Rangers Head coach?

Is Steven Gerrard ready to become the next manager at Rangers?

Rumours in Scotland are ramping up that Liverpool talisman Steven Gerrard is about to become the new gaffer at Ibrox.

Indeed, the Scottish Sun have told their readers the following about Gerrard’s possible move to Rangers:

Steven Gerrard is in talks to become the next Rangers manager.

SunSport can reveal the Liverpool legend is being lined up to replace Pedro Caixinha – seven months after the Portuguese coach was sacked.

Talks between all parties are said to be ongoing, but SunSport understands a deal is close with director of football Mark Allen leading the Ibrox delegation.

If Gerrard is appointed at Rangers, he’ll go head-to-head with his former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who is of course at the helm at Celtic.

For the record, Gerrard is the current manager of the Liverpool U18 side.

Rangers fans react to Gerrard rumours

If social media is anything to go by, Rangers fans seem encouraged by the Steven Gerrard rumours.

Rangers fans seem to be hugely supportive of their club’s efforts to sign the former Liverpool midfielder.

It’s also worth noting that Ibrox chairman Dave King was spotted at the Liverpool Champions League semi-final against Roma on Tuesday.
