Steven Gerrard: What I really think about J.Klopp

The Reds ended a two-game losing run in all competitions on Tuesday night following Liverpool FC’s 3-0 win against Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium.

Liverpool FC broke the deadlock thanks to Emre Can’s long-range strike before Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah polished off a comfortable win against the promoted team.

The Merseyside outfit are in fourth place in the Premier League table but are a long way behind runaway leaders Manchester City with 13 games to play.

Klopp is still waiting to win his first piece of silverware since replacing Brendan Rodgers as manager back in October 2015.

Liverpool FC lost to Leicester City and West Brom in the League Cup and the FA Cup this term to deprive the Reds of a chance to win one of the domestic competitions.

Former Reds captain Gerrard underlined the Liverpool FC hierarchy’s continued faith in the German head coach despite their inconsistent performances.

“I think from the top there’s huge belief in this manager and certainly throughout the club, the fans I think love Jurgen Klopp,” Gerrard told BT Sport.

“Of course, it’s been a journey of ups and downs so far, but the confidence and belief from the top is there for Jurgen.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table in Klopp’s first full season in charge of the Anfield outfit.
