The young forward has been reflecting on the defeat to M.United

Young Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been speaking to the club’s official website about their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.

The Reds scored a brilliant goal through Christian Benteke but strikes from Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial ensured United took all three points directly after the international break.

Origi came on for the last 16 minutes of normal-time at Old Trafford but he was unable to help his side to a much-needed victory.

The result leaves Liverpool in ninth place and with plenty of work to do in the weeks and months ahead.

Speaking to liverpoolfc.com after the game, Origi said, “As a team we have to solve the problems, defensively and offensively. But I think the quality is there, so we just have to stick together and speak with the coach.”

There are certainly problems at both ends of the pitch right now, with Liverpool’s defence conceding six goals in their last two matches and their forward-line managing just one successful strike in response.
