Dominic Solanke can do no wrong

Earlier in the week Antonio Conte questioned if a crop of Chelsea youngsters were too impatient in regards to waiting for a chance in the first team. It’s a debate that will likely run on for many a year, but what’s certain in Solanke is making the most of his move.

The summer signing from Stamford Bridge started in Germany as the lone striker and took just 15 minutes to net his second goal for the club in the space of three pre-season friendlies.

Following an impressive summer with the England U20’s at the World Cup – where he claimed the Golden Ball award (which has been won by the likes of Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba in the past) Solanke seems to have settled well at Anfield and his doing his chances of claiming a first-team spot no harm.
