The England international is set to put pen to paper on a new deal worth £100,000 this week.

Henderson moved to Anfield from Premiership side Sunderland back in the Summer of 2011 and is set to become club captain next season when Steven Gerrard moves to the US to play for MLS side LA Galaxy.

The twenty-four year old has just over a year left on his current contract and has been linked with moves to the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and even Barcelona.

But the agreement will see months of speculation come to an end as Henderson ties his future to Anfield until he is at least twenty-nine years of age.
