John Barnes sends message to Jurgen Klopp

John Barnes doesn’t believe Jurgen Klopp will change his tactics for Liverpool FC’s clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Kiev.

The Reds will face the daunting prospect of the 13-time Champions League winners on Saturday evening as Liverpool FC look to win the competition for the first time since 2005.

The Merseyside outfit beat AC Milan on penalties in the Champions League final in Istanbul before a 2-1 loss to the Italian giants in Athens two seasons later.

Liverpool FC have scored more goals than any other team in this season’s competition following victories over FC Porto, Manchester City and AS Roma in the knockout stage so far.

The Reds left themselves slightly exposed in the Champions League semi-final after a thrilling 7-6 aggregate win against Serie A giants AS Roma in the last four.

Real Madrid have attacking talent such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Marcos Asensio and Isco to find holes in the Liverpool FC defence.

However, former Liverpool FC captain Barnes doesn’t anticipate Klopp altering his tactics for the Champions League final in Kiev this weekend.

“If you look at all the top managers now, they don’t change the way they play,” Barnes told talkSPORT.

“Pep Guardiola doesn’t change the way he plays home or away, Klopp’s exactly the same.

“This is who they are, this is the way they play and they don’t change.

“Real Madrid will have opportunities when they’re in possession because we’re such an attacking team.

“But he’s not going to change the way he plays so I think it’s going to be a very, very open game.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table in successive seasons to secure a spot in the Champions League.
