Jurgen Klopp reveals why he chose Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been talking about when he first joined the club and revealed why he rejected a Manchester United move.

Reports recently revealed that Klopp has originally always planned to manage Man United, it was his dream job and he had his eye on it.

Though, when the chance to manage Liverpool came up it was clear that he simply could not say no to the offer.

While that was clearly the case, Klopp has now revealed that he had an offer of another historical English club, believed to be Man United.

Though, when they came calling he didn’t feel right about the move despite reports claiming he dreamt of that job.

“Why Liverpool?” he said.

“I had an offer of another historical English club two years ago, but I ever felt comfortable with how they understood football.”

“It didn’t feel right. When Liverpool called, I can’t explain it. It was right.”

Klopp was speaking with Soccer Laduma and the publication also asked some very testing questions to the German.

One that certainly peaked our interest was the best player he has ever managed.

With players such as Steven Gerrard, Robert Lewandowski and more, his choice seemed a little left field.

Though, his reasoning certainly means it makes a lot more sense.

“Best player I’ve ever coached? Mario Goetze. He was unbelievable. The biggest improvement, though, was Lewandowski.
