LFC will make a big impression in the transfer window this summer!

Former Newcastle United frontman Micky Quinn believes Liverpool are in the hunt for Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Lucas Moura as they look to make a big impression in the transfer window this summer.Jurgen Klopp’s side were defeated on penalties in the Capital One Cup final after Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero produced a heroic spot-kick display to clinch his team the trophy.

Fernandinho opened the scoring thanks in part to some suspect keeping from Simon Mignolet, as the Belgian stopper failed to prevent the Brazilian’s shot from squirming through.

In a fashion true to Klopp’s never-say-die attitude, the Reds managed to equalise through Philippe Coutinho’s strike as the Reds ensured the cup final went to extra-time. The additional period brought neither team any further joy as both sides seemed content with awaiting their destiny in the resultant penalty shoot-out.

Emre Can started the proceedings with a delicate panenka spot-kick but his confidence did not reflect the rest of his teammates efforts, as Lucas Leiva, Coutinho and Adam Lallana all saw their penalties saved by the irrepressible Caballero.

Following the Reds defeat, Quinn believes Klopp is interested in PSG’s no.7 along with Ignacio Camacho and Granit Xhaka.

”I think you’ve got to look forward and you’ve got to look big,” Quinn told talksSPORT.

”Malaga defensive midfielder Ignacio Camacho, Lucas Moura, [Borussia Monchengladbach star] Granit Xhaka, these are all players on the hit list and if he gets them it’ll be an exciting season for Liverpool next year.”

The German tactician has already made a noticeable difference to Liverpool’s style using Brendan Rodgers’ signings. However, with a few more Klopp approved acquisitions, the 48-year-old’s plans may root to even greater effect.
