Midfielder Lussey (20 years old), joined Bolton on loan at the end of March but failed to make any impact. The closest he came to a first-team appearance was when he travelled with the rest of the squad for the Europa League encounter with Besiktas.

Similarly, left-back American Pelosi was close to a first-team appearance before he broke his leg in February 2013. He signed for Liverpool back in 2011 after he impressed with his appearance in the U-17 World Cup.

As announced on January, Steven Gerrard will be joining the MLS team LA Galaxy with his debut likely to be on July 11th. He is leaving behind a 28-year association with the club but already is thinking about his return to Anfield one day.

‘I hope to get the opportunity to come back and serve the club again one day. ‘I feel that I can make a contribution in some role in the future.’

Gerrard also announced his new autobiography ‘My Story’ set to be released on September 24th.

Glen Johnson who joined Liverpool the summer of 2009 from Portsmouth, has been deemed a surplus to requirements and has been listed as a free-agent. It is believed that he has been in talks with Turkish club Besiktas, that have offered Johnson a 2-year contract.
