Firmino, a 26-year-old Brazilian international, has been on the books of Liverpool since arriving at the club in 2015 from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
After playing an important role for the Merseysiders over his first two seasons at Anfield, Firmino has taken his performances to another level altogether this season.
To this point in the campaign, the South American has racked up 27 goals and 16 assists in 50 outings for Liverpool, with the fantastic attitude and non-stop work-rate of the attacker having proven just as important to the fortunes of the Reds as his technical abilities and partnership with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
