Sturridge: I’ve a new goal celebration

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed he has a new goal celebration up his sleeve.

Sturridge performed his trademark celebration after scoring against Huddersfield on Saturday. The goal marked his 100th in professional football.

However, he admits he almost unveiled his new celebration after being goaded by teammate James Milner.

He told Redmen TV: “That was Milly – Milly [James Milner] told me to do it, I wasn’t going to do it,” explained the Liverpool forward.

“He whispered in my ear and said: ‘make sure you do it.’ And I was thinking: ‘do you know what? I’m just going to do it’ but I wasn’t going to.

“I’m trying to get away from it, that’s the thing. I’ve got something new, that’s the thing. But they keep bringing it back, I can’t get away from it! Something new is coming soon.”
