This Liverpool FC star getting the best out of Mohamed Salah

The Egypt international has scored 21 times in 26 appearances in the Premier League this season following his double in a 2-2 draw with top-six rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Salah has been a Premier League sensation since his £39m move to Liverpool FC from Serie A giants AS Roma back in July.

The African forward’s form has kept Liverpool FC involved in the top-four race despite the departure of Philippe Coutinho in a £142m deal to La Liga side Barcelona.

While Firmino didn’t get on the score sheet last weekend, the Brazil international’s pressing helped to create space in the Tottenham defence for Salah to exploit.

Former Liverpool FC defender Carragher believes Firmino and Salah are blossoming into a great double act in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

“Without a doubt, Firmino is helping Salah,” Carragher told Sky Sports. “He is very clever with his passing and his movement drags people out of position as well.

“He comes towards the ball and that opens up the space for Salah to make that penetrating diagonal run in behind that space between the full-back and the centre-back.

“It is a great combination for Liverpool.”

Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table but five points behind Manchester United in the race to secure a top-four spot.

The Reds will take on Portuguese giants FC Porto in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash next week.

Klopp’s side will make the trip to Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
