Wijnaldum has said something about four Liverpool attacking stars

Georginio Wijnaldum says his Liverpool teammates Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino have a way to go before they can described as world-class.

The four players have been in exceptional form for the Reds so far this season and all scored in the emphatic 7-0 Champions League win against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday night.

Many have described Liverpool’s attack force as the best in the Premier League, better than unbeaten leaders Manchester City.

Wijnaldum says everybody knows the quality all four players have, but says they need to do it consistently before they can be compared with the world’s elite.

“They can be a high level but you can only really say it if they have done it for a long time, not only for a few games,” he told the Daily Mail.

“We have to see. Everyone knows they are wonderful and world-class, but we as a team have to help them show they are world-class players every game.”

Salah has been Liverpool’s outstanding player this season scoring 18 goals in 23 games in all competitions, but the other three attackers have also been in great form.

Liverpool have been in outstanding form since their 4-1 defeat against Tottenham in October, winning seven and drawing two of their nine matches since the game at Wembley.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have also scored 15 goals in their last seven games and will go into the Merseyside derby against rivals Everton on Sunday full of confidence.
