Fabinho: What I really think about Liverpool FC under Jurgen Klopp

The Brazil international completed a £39m move to Liverpool FC from Ligue 1 side on Monday to get the Reds’ summer spending underway.

Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev following Loris Karius’ disappointing performance.

The 24-year-old’s arrival at Anfield has injected some feel-good factor at Anfield following their setback in the Champions League final.

Fabinho was a key part of the AS Monaco team that won the Ligue 1 title in the 2016-17 season ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian star will fill a key position in the Liverpool FC team in a holding midfield role under Jurgen Klopp.

Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website about his knowledge of Klopp’s team ahead of his summer move, Fabinho said:

“Yes, I have seen games this season. I find it a very intensive team, very quick.

“Of course, what shows the most is the speed of the transition – they attack very fast and they make the opposition suffer difficulties.

“Whether it is quick play or a counter-attack, they are very fast. They can play one-twos very quickly and for that reason, the forward players show more than the others throughout the season.

“I’ve followed quite a few games and of course, I was interested to find out more about Liverpool. This season, I was able to watch a few games.”

Fabinho has scored 31 goals in 233 appearances in all competitions during three seasons at AS Monaco.

The South American started his career at Real Madrid and made 31 appearances for los Blancos before his move to Ligue 1.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a spot in the Champions League for the second successive season.
