John Henry and Tom Werner flying to England

The powerful trio at the summit of our football club – owner John Henry, chairman Tom Werner and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon – are all set to fly to England later this week ahead of the League Cup final.

The Echo reports that the threesome, who rarely travel to the UK en-masse, have been delighted with Klopp’s behind the scenes work thus far, and are keen to catch-up with him over the weekend.

It is the first time they will attend a match in person since our Europa League group game against Rubin Kazan in October, which was Klopp’s first home game in charge.

They were also present for the League Cup final in 2012, in which we beat Cardiff City after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.

It is also the first time they will come face-to-face with Reds fans since the infamous walk-out against Sunderland earlier this month.

The protest, which was over a new ticket price structure, was swiftly met with a back-down by the board, who reportedly upset by some of the accusations levelled at them. The Echo states they’ve not taken a penny out of the club since they took charge.
